-
Do you require any vaccinations or health checks before training?Yes, for the safety and health of all dogs in training, I require that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccinations such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. It’s also important that your dog is free from contagious illnesses or parasites before attending sessions. If you’re unsure about your dog’s vaccination status or health, please consult your veterinarian before starting training. This helps ensure a safe and comfortable environment for every dog and handler.
-
Do we do home visits? We do indeed – we cover all addresses within a 10 mile radius. However, we do travel further for an extra cost.
-
Do I take the dog?Dog training isn’t just about the dog — it’s about helping owners build confidence and skills too. In most sessions, I work closely with both you and your dog, showing you exactly how to handle behaviours and continue progress between sessions. After all, lasting change comes from clear guidance and consistent follow-through. For dogs needing more focused work or extra practice, I also offer day training sessions, where I work directly with your dog 1-to-1 and then show you how to maintain that progress at home. It’s a great option for busy owners or dogs who benefit from additional hands-on training.
-
What methods do we use?Our training approach is rooted in kind, structured, and results-driven methods that help dogs learn in a clear and supportive way. We focus on building a strong relationship between you and your dog through clear communication, consistency, and reward-based principles. Every dog is different, which is why we tailor our training to suit your individual dog’s needs, temperament, and behaviour. Whether we're encouraging calm lead walking or working through more complex issues, our goal is always to create a balanced, respectful partnership between you and your dog — without unnecessary pressure or confusion.
-
Can you help an aggressive dog?Yes, we use management techniques first to prevent the dog from getting themself into trouble then from there we can begin the training process to change the dog’s thinking. As long as the owners are consistent each day then we can definitely change the dog’s thinking.
-
How much are the sessions? There are a number of different training package options available, please book your FREE consultation with us to discuss this further.
-
Do you offer ongoing support after the training program?Yes! I believe ongoing support is key to maintaining your dog’s progress and addressing any new challenges that might come up. After the training program, I’m available for follow-up consultations, refresher sessions, and advice whenever you need it. Whether it’s a quick question or additional coaching, I’m here to help you and your dog continue building a strong, positive relationship.
-
Are the fees refundable?Yes, if cancellations are made at least 48 hours prior to any booked session. Please see our T&Cs for more details.
-
What makes your training approach different from others?Unlike traditional training methods that follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all framework, my approach is fully tailored to each dog’s individual personality, motivations, and needs. I recognise that every dog is driven differently, so instead of applying a single system, I customise techniques to fit your dog specifically. My focus is purely results-driven and solution-focused, aiming to deliver effective, lasting behaviour changes by working with your dog’s unique strengths and challenges. This personalised method ensures the training is both practical and meaningful for you and your dog.
-
Do you do group classes? No unfortunately - we prefer the tailored approach
-
What breeds do we train?Updated: 25/5/25 To ensure the best outcomes for both dogs and owners, I focus on dogs that are a good fit for my training methods and areas of expertise. I do not currently offer training for the following: ❌ Protection or guarding breeds trained for security or defence ❌ Akitas and Cane Corso – due to breed-specific behaviour that falls outside my current training scope ❌ Intact (unneutered) male French Bulldogs, as I’ve found they often present with behaviour challenges best suited to specialist support
-
Can family or children attend sessions?Yes, it’s important that each family member is on the same page in order for the dog to get consistency. However, we do ask that children stand on the side and watch to prevent the dog from getting distracted.
-
Can you help with behavioural issues like barking, aggression, or separation anxiety?Absolutely! Behavioural issues such as excessive barking, aggression, and separation anxiety are common challenges that many dog owners face. I use positive, science-based training techniques tailored to your dog’s unique personality and situation to address these behaviours. Together, we’ll work on understanding the root causes and develop a customized plan to manage and improve your dog’s behaviour, helping them become calmer, happier, and more confident. If needed, I can also provide guidance on environmental management and work closely with you to ensure lasting results.
-
Do you offer puppy trainingOf course! We know how tricky those first few weeks/months with a new puppy can be, especially if you’re a first time dog owner. But we’re here to help! From crate or toilet training to lead walking and socialisation, we are able to cover it all with you to help your dog get off to the best start.
-
How long does it take to get results? We can see results in just 1 session as we make it easy enough for the dog to understand. Once they are comfortable we continue to increase the criteria.
-
What’s the success rate?As positive as you want to make it – dog training is hard work, for both the dog and the owner. We do ask that by signing up for sessions that you will follow the homework between each session, and compile with the advice given – consistency is key to getting results!
-
Do you use aversive equipment or methods? My training is rooted in positive, science-backed techniques that are effective, compassionate, and tailored to your dog’s individual needs. The vast majority of my work focuses on reward-based methods to build trust, confidence, and lasting behaviour change. However, every dog is different, and in rare, extreme cases—such as severe reactivity or safety concerns—I may explore additional tools or strategies when it is in the best interest of the dog and handler. This is never a first option and is always approached with care, professionalism, and full transparency. Before considering any training equipment outside the standard scope, I always have an open and honest discussion with the owner. We’ll talk through your dog’s behaviour, the reasoning behind any suggested tools, and ensure you're fully comfortable with the approach. Your dog’s wellbeing, comfort, and long-term progress are always at the heart of every decision.
-
What services do you offer? We offer 1-2-1 in person sessions, whether that be at your home, a local field or somewhere else of your choice, as well as online coaching sessions via Zoom.
-
What areas do you cover?Anything within a 15 mile radius to HP20 (although can go further – at an increased price, please ask for more info) – we cover Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Wendover, Princes Risborough and more.
-
How to book with you?First things first, we’d love to get to know more about you and your dog before booking in any training sessions. We offer a FREE 15 minute consultation where we’ll chat more about the services we provide, and what it is you’re looking for.
Testimonials
Jordan has been training my 1-year-old pointer/collie cross, Monty, who is a rescue from Hungary. I was struggling with his strength, excitability and lack of any training at all. Jordan has been of immense help and encouraged me to keep going when I was unsure. Jordan was always polite and helpful and really turned Monty around so that he was listening and responding. Thanks Jordan

Jordan was incredibly patient, easy to communicate with, and never made me feel judged for my lack of experience. His calm and understanding approach really put me at ease. Jordan was also very flexible, always willing to adapt to my puppy's specific needs, which made a huge difference in our training sessions. Thanks to his guidance, I've seen significant positive development in my puppy's behaviour. I highly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dog trainer!

Jordan was amazing with my two dogs, they had training and boarding with him. The change in my French bull dog Monty is great and he is more relaxed. Jordan also help with changing their diet keeping them interested in food as well and making sure it's balanced and all good for my doggies. Jordan is very confident in what he does and knows and would highly recommend him.
